U’khand’s Ashta Tattva & Ekatva tableau to shine near Statue of Unity on Oct 31

The tableau representing Uttarakhand State, titled Ashta Tattva and Ekatva, will be showcased during the Parade on October 31 in front of the Statue of Unity in Ektanagar, Gujarat. This event commemorates the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The tableau aims to highlight the spiritual and natural beauty of Uttarakhand, as well as various aspects of its culture and progress.
Director general of the State’s Information department Banshidhar Tiwari informed that the State has the honour of participating in this significant national event. After several rounds of discussions and evaluations by an expert committee from the Home ministry, Uttarakhand’s tableau, along with those from eight other States, was selected for presentation. Tiwari further informed that the tableau Ashta Tattva and Ekatva, symbolises the spirit of harmony and unity represented by the eight elements. It will showcase Uttarakhand’s sacred religious sites, natural beauty, cultural richness and its progressive approach towards sustainable development, he added.
The tableau is being constructed under the guidance of joint director of the Information department KS Chauhan. He stated that all preparations for the tableau and the cultural presentation by the artists have been completed. A 14-member team of folk artists from the state will perform traditional folk dances during the Unity Parade. Chauhan added that the State team successfully participated in the full-dress rehearsal held at the Statue of Unity on Wednesday.
