CM visits Nankana Sahib, offers prayer

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Nankana Sahib Bada Gurdwara here on Tuesday and offered prayer. Also, he participated in the Nagar Kirtan Yatra organised as part of the observance of 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur slated on November 24. Recalling the supreme sacrifice of    Guru Teg Bahadur for the cause of religion and culture, he said that his ideals still inspire the people.  

He also said that the Narendra Modi government had taken a slew of decisions in the interests of the  Sikh community like  the  opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, FCRA registration of Harmandir Sahib and celebration of Veer Bal Diwas. “The construction of Govindghat-Hemkund Sahib ropeway in Uttarakhand will prove to be a boon for the Sikh pilgrims,” he added.

He further said that
the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur would be celebrated appropriately in Uttarakhand, too.
