Cong throttles people’s aspirations: Maharaj on monsoon session’s adjournment

Hitting out at the opposition Congress for disrupting the monsoon session of the Assembly held at Gairsain, resulting in its abrupt adjournment, the State Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj said that it amounted to smothering the collective aspirations of the people of the State.  
“The conduct of the opposition was highly condemnable. They wanted a discussion on law and order but were not ready to follow the rules and laws itself. Their frustration with the ruling BJP’s winning spree in civic body and rural polls has manifested in their obstructionist behaviour,” he said, adding that the people would never forgive the way the opposition had behaved inside the House.
