While hailing the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway slated for inauguration by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, the former chief minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat said on Monday that a robust network of high-quality roads has developed across the length and breadth of the country under the PM’s guidance and visionary leadership,, providing unprecedented strength to India’s infrastructure. “Tomorrow’s inauguration of the eagerly awaited expressway will mark a mighty example of meeting commitment,” he said and added that this expressway would inevitably provean important milestone in the development history of Uttarakhand.He said that this expressway would significantly reduce the distance and travel time between Delhi and Dehradun, nearly halving the journey from Delhi to Dehradun, making travel faster, easier and safer. “This project will unlock new possibilities for economic growth, tourism promotion and regional development not only for Uttarakhand but for north India as a whole,” he noted. Further, it would provide modern and safe transportation facilities to travellers while also promoting fuel savings and environmental protection, he stated.“The people of Uttarakhand are excited about this inauguration by the PM, which will usher in a developed Uttarakhand in all respects,” Rawat averred.
