The district magistrate, Mayur Dixit directed the officials concerned to record the attendance of the officers and the employees of Roorkee Municipal Corporation through biometric punching. He looked unsatisfied during his unannounced inspection of offices and works. He also stressed on prioritising the work related to making birth and death certificates for the common people. He expressed his unhappiness too over the ‘poor’ preservation of the records and documents and directed for their proper preservation.
Further, he said that the administration would tolerate no leniency in sanitation works.
