In line with the instructions of the Election Commission of India, show cause notices have been issued to six registered unrecognised political parties in Uttarakhand which have been electorally inactive for the past six years since 2019. They have been told to respond to the notice by 5 PM on July 21.
Notably, there are 42 registered unrecognised political parties (RUPP) in Uttarakhand.
The decision of final delisting of these parties will be taken by the ECI after the submission of their explanations.
These parties are:
Bharatiya Janakranti Party, Hamari Janmanch Party, Maidani Kranti Dal,
Praja Mandal Party, Rashtriya Gram Vikas Party and Rashtriya Jan Sahayak Dal.
