The two-day international academic event “TRISHIL-26: Tourism Research, Innovation and Sustainability for Hospitality Industry and Learning” concluded at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Dehradun. The event was held in collaboration with Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University.
Addressing the valedictory session, the institute’s principal Shiv Mohan emphasised on the need for academia-industry synergy in addressing contemporary
challenges in hospitality education and practice. In a symbolic gesture promoting environmental responsibility, saplings were presented to the dignitaries.
According to the organisers, the conference witnessed participation from eminent academicians, industry experts, researchers and policymakers from across the country, and concluded on a high note with the valedictory session celebrating knowledge exchange, research excellence and collaborative achievements.
The session reflected upon the key deliberations and outcomes of the conference, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability and technological advancement in the tourism and hospitality sector. During the valedictory, awards and certificates were distributed to participants and contributors in recognition of their research papers, presentations and active participation, thereby encouraging academic excellence and innovation. In the closing remarks, the organisers highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between academia and industry to drive sustainable growth and innovation in the hospitality sector.
Uttarakhand Technical University registrar Rajesh Upadhyaya and Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University pro vice-chancellor RK Tripathi, among others, were also present on the occasion.
