The 37th Maharaja Judha Shumshere Memorial Inter-School English Debate was held on Friday, bringing together 12 of Dehradun’s top schools.
The competition followed an extempore debate format with the topic being revealed to the participating teams just one hour before the debate.
The competition concluded with Ann Mary School emerging as the winning team, while St Joseph’s Academy secured the best team runner-up position. Kavya Joshi of Ann Mary School was adjudged best speaker while Navya Joshi of St Joseph’s Academy was named first runner-up speaker, while Meet Rawat of Cambrian Hall secured the third best speaker position.
