To mark the occasion of State Foundation Day, various State-level sports competitions will be organised in every district. Considering this, the Dehradun District Sports Office (DSO) will conduct district-level selection trials for various competitions on different dates.
According to officials, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the State’s foundation, the Nainital DSO will organise under-11 and under-13 boys’ and girls’ State-level badminton competitions from November 6 to November 9. For this, the Dehradun DSO will hold selection trials at the Multipurpose Hall in Parade Ground on October 28 at 3 PM.
Additionally, the Haridwar DSO will organise under-17 boys’ State-level hockey tournaments from November 5 to November 8 at the Vandana Kataria Hockey Stadium. For this, the Dehradun DSO will conduct selection trials at Pavilion Ground on October 30 at 3 PM.
Officials also stated that the Dehradun DSO will organise an under-17 boys’ State-level football tournament from November 5 to 9 at Pavilion Ground. Selection trials for this will take place at Pavilion Ground on November 3 at 3 PM.
It is mandatory for candidates to bring one colored passport size photograph, an Aadhaar card, a birth certificate and a photocopy of the permanent residence certificate in order to participate in the selection trials, the officials said.
