2 liquor smugglers from Nepal held in Harsil  PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Uttarkashi

Harsil police arrested two persons in the Harsil market area with illegal foreign liquor hidden in boxes. Cash was also recovered from their possession.

According to the police sources, a police team led by the station house officer, Harsil. Deepak Rawat conducted a checking campaign in the Harsil market area during which two alleged bootleggers identified as Mahendra Tamang and Aisi Tamang, both Nepali nationals, were held with illegal English liquor concealed in boxes. Besides, cash worth Rs 16,690 allegedly earned by the duo by selling illegal liquor was recovered. Later,
police registered a case against them at Harsil police station.
