With Nainital police conducting drives to stop bootlegging across the district to facilitate free and fair rural polls, a team from Lalkuan police station arrested a man identified as Ajay alias Nata, resident of Bindukhatta, near a factory and seized 68 pouches of raw liquor hidden in a plastic bag. Subsequently, a case was registered against the accused under Section 60 of the Excise Act at Lalkuan police station, informed the in-charge inspector of the police station, Dinesh Fartyal, adding that their drives against illegal liquor activities would continue.
