U’khand to launch poultry feed subsidy scheme in mountainous districts

In an attempt to encourage poultry farming in the mountainous areas, the Uttarakhand government has decided to launch a poultry feed subsidy scheme in the State. A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the State cabinet held at the secretariat on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Informing about the decision of the cabinet, the director general Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that the scheme will be implemented in the nine mountainous districts of the State. These districts are Almora, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Pauri, Bageshwar, Tehri and Rudraprayag. Tiwari said that initially 816 poultry farmers under Broiler Farm scheme and 781 farmers under the Poultry Valley scheme will be covered under the project in the year 2025-26. A subsidy of Rs 2.85 crore will be disbursed among these beneficiaries under the scheme.
In another decision the cabinet approved the proposal to set up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) named Dehradun City Transport Limited. The objective of the SPV is to improve the traffic system in Dehradun city. Tiwari informed that the SPV will help in smooth operation of e- buses at present operated by the Dehradun Smart City Limited and operation of the buses under the Pradhan Mantri e- bus scheme.
The cabinet also gave its nod to the proposal to transfer 9.918 hectare land of village Fazalpur, Tehsil Rudrapur at current circle rates to the District level Development Authority, Udham Singh Nagar.
In another decision the cabinet approved the proposal to create a new post of senior principal private secretary at the establishment office of advocate general, Uttarakhand High Court and surrender the post of clerk (shorthand).
