The Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that some organisations are allegedly working to defame the Uttarakhand government by spreading false claims of an examination paper leak, despite the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) clarifying that no such incident occurred.

According to the commission, screenshots of three pages from a graduate-level examination surfaced 35 minutes after the test began, raising suspicion of a deliberate attempt to malign the State’s transparent examination process, the State media incharge Manveer Singh Chauhan said. He informed that the matter is under investigation. He strongly criticised the opposition for questioning the anti-cheating law and accused the Congress of conspiring to discredit the government.

He asserted that chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has implemented the strictest anti-cheating law in the country, aimed at dismantling the network of cheating mafias and ensuring justice for youth. Over 200 individuals linked to cheating and corruption have already been jailed under this initiative. Chauhan stated that the Dhami government’s stringent policies have created an environment of fairness in recruitment examinations, resulting in more than 30,000 people securing government jobs across departments.

He added that malpractice in competitive exams was prevalent in earlier administrations but the current government has taken decisive action to end it. While opposition parties now raise objections, Chauhan said they remained silent when cheating was widespread.

Reaffirming the State government’s commitment, Chauhan said that the youth of Uttarakhand will not face injustice and every examination will be conducted with full transparency. He urged young aspirants to trust the government’s efforts in eliminating cheating mafias and maintaining a fair system.
