After the arrest of alleged exam cheating racket leader Hakam Singh, Dehradun police maintained strict vigilance across the city to ensure the smooth conduct of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level written examination on Sunday.
The test was held at 121 centers in the district with participation from more than 40,000 candidates. The Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said that adequate police personnel were deployed at every exam centre.
Candidates were allowed entry only after thorough checking and all centres were placed under continuous surveillance through CCTV cameras. Police teams also patrolled areas around the centers to keep watch on unwanted elements.
Singh also personally inspected several centres and issued necessary instructions to officers and on-duty personnel to ensure the exam proceeded peacefully. He directed officials to remain alert and keep police patrols active around the premises.
Senior officers, including the (City), Rishikesh SP and Vikasnagar SP also visited centres in their respective areas to review arrangements and guide staff. Singh stated that the measures aimed to maintain transparency and fairness in the examination process while preventing any attempts to disrupt the recruitment test.
