Vulgar behaviour complaint: headmaster suspended

In latest news from Uttarakhand, acting on the vulgar behaviour complaint lodged by some students of government-run Junior High School at Simalt in Chamoli district, the State education department suspended the head master and constituted a three-member committee to probe the allegation. Eighteen students from villages are studying in the school. It is learnt that as the matter came to the notice of the district magistrate Himanshu Khurana, he asked the district education department to investigate the complaint. The three teachers who are members of the probe committee came to the school and recorded statements of the students and the teachers. It is further learnt that the accused had taken charge of the school as headmaster in 2009 and was to retire in 2024.
