In latest news from Doon, re-jigging responsibilities of two senior IPS officers, the State police headquarters sent a clear message that they are concerned over the spiralling crimes in Uttarakhand. While Vimmi Sachdeva has been given the additional charge of inspector general of police for modernisation Nilesh Anand Bharne has been given the new charge as the inspector general of police for law and order.
While reviewing performance of the senior police officers vis-a-vis the worsening law and order situation in the State, the directorate said that negative entries to be put in the annual confidential report (ACR) might adversely impact their future career prospects.
