In latest news from Uttarakhand, the vice chancellor of Kumaun University Diwan Singh Rawat said that the university administration though eager to hold the students’ union election was waiting for the State government to announce the date. He said that with the State government having announced the same poll day for all colleges and universities across the State, the KU administration was in touch with those of other State-run universities. He urged the agitating students to continue their agitation for the poll but without taking law in their own hands.
