Rain forecast yet again as temperatures remain above normal

With the winter season at its fag end, temperatures are remaining above normal in various parts of the State. However, the State Meteorological Centre has once again forecast rain in parts of the State on Sunday. The centre has forecast that very light to light rain is likely at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar districts while dry weather likely to prevail in the rest of the districts today.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky with mist/shallow fog likely to occur during the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and eight degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 25.1 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 23 degrees Celsius and four degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.4 degrees Celsius and 4.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 18.4 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was four degrees above normal while the minimum was a degree below normal in Dehradun whereas the minimum was three degrees below normal in Pantnagar. The maximum was seven degrees above normal and the minimum was two degrees above normal in Mukteshwar while the maximum was three degrees above normal and the minimum was two degrees above normal in New Tehri.
