Congress steps up preparations for Delhi rally

Uttarakhand Congress has stepped up preparations for the upcoming ‘ Vote Chor – Gaddi Chhod’ rally of the party. The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has given a call for the rally at the Ramlila Grounds in New Delhi on December 14.
Senior leaders of the party including the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Ganesh Godiyal, the leader of opposition (LoP) Yashpal Arya, former chief minister Harish Rawat, chairman of the Campaign Committee Pritam Singh and chairman of the election management committee Harak Singh Rawat are holding meetings and contacting the party workers to ensure that the Delhi rally is a success.
The media in-charge of the party, Rajiv Mehrishi informed that various coordination committees have been formed to ensure the success of the rally. He said that Abhinav Thapar has been appointed as the coordinator for the State Headquarters Social Media Coordination Committee while Sandeep Chamoli and Kishore Kumar will handle the responsibility for Garhwal and Kumaon divisions respectively.
Similarly, Rajendra Shah and Nitin Pant have been appointed as the coordinator of Programme Coordination Committee in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions respectively. Senior leaders Jot Singh Gunsola, Rajkumar, Godavari Thapli, Om Prakash Sati Babban, Suleman Ali, and Adarsh Sood have been assigned the responsibility of contacting the rally participants from the State headquarters.
The PCC president has directed all the district and Mahanagar presidents to coordinate with the assembly in-charges to ensure the success of the rally. They have been asked to send the photo-video data and information about the rally participants from their districts. Mahanagar president Jaswinder Singh Gogi said that thousands of Congress workers under the leadership of PCC president will participate in the rally.
The AICC has given the call for the rally against the alleged vote theft done by the Narendra Modi government and its anti-people policies. The party will also showcase crores of signatures collected across the country by the party leaders and workers in the rally. Large number of Congress party workers and leaders from all parts of the country will take part in the rally.
