The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that Uttarakhand emerging as a top-ranking State among small States in the Export Preparedness Index (EPIC) – 2024 is a sign of development in the State. BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that this describes the story of a developed Uttarakhand, adding that figures from Central agencies like the NITI Aayog and the ground reality are a positive sign for Uttarakhandis.
Responding to the NITI Aayog’s EPI-2024, Bhatt claimed that it has been clarified once again that Uttarakhand is moving in the right direction. “Under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State is consistently working towards all-round development and governance aimed at public welfare.
The result of these efforts is visible on the ground along with the data of NITI Aayog and other agencies. The EPI has shown that despite being a small State with limited resources, Uttarakhand is no less than larger States in export preparedness. It is due to the public’s cooperation and the BJP government’s efforts that we have left behind larger States like Bihar, Odisha, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in the EPI while topping the small States. What is more satisfying is that in addition to raw material, even technical products are being exported from the State,” Bhatt said.
He further claimed that this is a historic achievement for the people of Uttarakhand, adding that earlier the State had topped the Ease of Doing Business index and had also kept its unemployment rate lower than the national average.
Citing various governmental validations, the BJP State president said that development in Uttarakhand is now an example which has developed a strong identity for the State in the nation. This has been possible due to factors including the industry-conducive policies, better environment for commerce, strong infrastructure and single-window system in the State.
