A video that went viral on social media has landed five youths in trouble. Under Operation Prahar, Doiwala Police took swift action and caught five individuals riding on a single motorcycle. The vehicle was seized.
The incident is from the Bhaniyawala area, where the viral video showed five youths dangerously riding one bike on the road putting their lives and others at risk.
Taking immediate cognisance of the video, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun Parmendra Singh Dobal directed an investigation. Police scanned CCTV footage and identified the motorcycle involved. It was found that five youths were riding a Splendour bike bearing registration number UK07DQ-9644.
All the individuals were later identified and called to the Jolly Grant police outpost. The police seized the motorcycle under the Motor Vehicles Act, while the rider, along with the other four youths, was penalised under the Police Act.
