3-day’ Mahakumbh’ of public relations to commence in Doon today

The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) will hold its 47th All India Public Relations Conference from December 13 to 15 in Dehradun to be inaugurated by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi will be present as the special guest and MP Naresh Bansal will be present as the guest of honour in the inaugural session.

According to PRSI’s national president Ajit Pathak, this is the country’s largest and most prestigious annual conference in the public relations field, drawing a large number of delegates from government departments, corporates, PSUs, academic institutions and the media. 

The main theme of the conference is ‘Developed India @2047: Development as well as Heritage — Empowering Growth, Preserving Roots’. Under this theme, it will be considered how public relations can play a leading and decisive role in the fields of nation building, technology, communication and public participation in the coming years. The inaugural session will be followed by the technical sessions of the conference which will include theme-based discussions, innovation and sessions focused on the development journey of Uttarakhand. 

The second day of the conference will have technical and thematic sessions with the theme being 25 years of Uttarakhand and the way forward.  The speakers will share their views on the state’s 25 years of development journey and future priorities.

Cabinet  minister  Subodh Uniyal will inaugurate the closing ceremony of the conference.

The organisers of the three-day national conference said that it would provide the public relations world a broad platform for new ideas, policy discussions, innovations and international collaboration. “Through this event, Dehradun is poised to establish its unique identity not only on the national but also on the international public relations map,” Pathak added.
