Despite limited resources, a young innovator Ravi Tamta of Almora successfully piloted a single-seat electric flying vehicle, ‘Hapida Skynex’, built with his own design and technical expertise, generating new hope and curiosity not only in the state but across the country.
The district magistrate, Anshul Singh and senior superintendent of police, Chandrashekhar R Ghodke were present during the trial flight, held at Almora’s Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna stadium.
The chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated him on a video call. Hailing this innovation as an inspiration for the state’s youth, he said that such experiments open doors to new possibilities in the fields of science, technology and innovation. He also assured Tamta of all possible support as he moves forward.
The DM also lauded his achievement, describing it as a matter of pride for Almora district. “The administration will provide all possible support to encourage innovation and local talent,” he declared.
