Doon University to declare first merit list 2025 in a day or two

Doon University is poised to declare the merit list for students enrolling in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes this year in a day or two on the official website of the university. Informing this, the university registrar, Durgesh Dimri said that the entrance examination had taken place on June 22 to select candidates for these programmes.

“Following this, the university’s administration uploaded the exam scores of students on its official website. The merit list for both UG and PG courses is being prepared now. It will be made available on our official website in a day or two,” he said.

He further said that if any seats for a specific course remain vacant after the initial merit list is published, one or two additional lists would be released. “As per our anticipation, this year’s merit list will feature higher rankings as compared to previous year,” he said.

This year, a total of 3,327 students have been registered for the entrance examination out of whom 2,792 actually participated, marking an attendance rate of 84 per cent.

Notably, the entrance exam, designed to shortlist candidates for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, was held at seven designated centres. Four of these centres were located in Dehradun while the remaining three were situated in Delhi, Lucknow and Haldwani.

Further, the entrance examination for PG was conducted for only three postgraduate courses. There are 910 seats available for undergraduate programmes and 650 for postgraduate programmes. This year also marks the introduction of a Master of Arts in Hindu Studies programme which offers 20 seats for interested students.
