Joshi directs hospitals to put display boards of Ayushman scheme in every ward

 The chief executive officer of the State Health Authority Reena Joshi has directed all the hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman scheme to display toll free number of the scheme in every ward and set up separate waiting rooms near the intensive care units (ICU).

She said that the priority of the government is to ensure that every beneficiary receives the benefit of the Aysuhman scheme. Joshi said that complaints of beneficiaries being given wrong information and extraction of money are common and it is necessary to put an end to such practices. She said that the hospitals should put up display boards for the scheme in every ward and toll free number.

Joshi said that a system of token display should be used to get rid of long queues in the hospitals. She added that feedback from the patients has also been made mandatory.

The CEO warned that strict action will be taken against those found involved in laxity in the implementation of Ayushman scheme.
