Man duped of Rs 1.65 lakh in fake flight ticket scam

A man from Dehradun has filed a police complaint after he was allegedly cheated of Rs 1.65 lakh in an online flight ticket fraud case. The complainant, Naveen Kumar Sharma, a resident of Maharani Bagh, said that he had booked an Ethiopian Airlines ticket through a company based in Delhi.
According to the complaint, the ticket issued by the company with PNR number UQTJKD was later found to be fake. He said he had deposited Rs 1,65 lakh into the company’s account in Chhatarpur, Delhi.
When Sharma contacted the company, its manager Kaushal Kumar Rai and director Rajendra Rajput allegedly assured him that the full amount would be refunded.
However, he received only Rs 5,000. He further claimed that after repeated calls, the accused persons had switched off their mobile phones.
Sharma has named several other directors and staff members of the company in his complaint. “I have
filed complaints through different platforms, but I am yet to get the money back,” he said.
