Conduct joint survey on Harrawala railway station plan: CS to District administration & Railways

Chief secretary Anand Bardhan has said that the Railways and the district administration of Dehradun should conduct a joint survey for the Harrawala railway station expansion and submit the inspection report to the government soon. He also asked the Railways to share the master plan for the Harrawala Railway Station expansion with the government.
The CS chaired a meeting with divisional railway manager, Northern Railway, Moradabad division Vineeta Srivastava at his office on Friday. In the meeting, issues and projects related to Northern Railway were discussed in detail.
He directed the Dehradun district magistrate to conduct a joint survey in collaboration with the Railways, chief wildlife warden and Rajaji National Park regarding 3.62 hectares of forest land of Rajaji National Park and Forest department under the Rishikesh-Doiwala bypass railway line project and provide the inspection report to the government.
On the Dehradun-Mohand-Saharanpur tunnel-based railway line project, the CS directed that the final location survey of the project be conducted and the updated status be communicated soon. Bardhan directed the Railway officials, DM Haridwar, SSP Haridwar, Mela Officer and Government Railway Police (GRP) to prepare a traffic plan jointly to maintain smooth traffic arrangements and provide smooth travel to the devotees during the Kumbh Mela-2027. He also said that the slope stabilization work near the railway tunnel in Haridwar should be completed expeditiously and a report of the action taken should also be made available to the government.
Transport secretary Brijesh Kumar Sant, additional secretary Reena Joshi and other senior railway officials attended the meeting.
