Operation Smile: Missing teenager found & reunited with family

Dharasu police have recovered a missing 16-year-old boy and handed him over to his family under Operation Smile.
As per information received from police, a woman submitted a written complaint to Dharasu police station, stating that her 16-year-old son had left home without informing her. Based on the complaint, a missing person case was registered at the Dharasu police station.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the superintendent of police, Uttarkashi, Kamlesh Upadhyay ordered an immediate search for the teenager. A joint team of Operation Smile and Dharasu police was constituted under the supervision of the deputy superintendent of police Janak Singh Panwar.  

The police team had swung into action and using intelligence and technical means, they had traced the missing teenager on February 2, said Dharasu inspector-in charge, Manoj Aswal, adding that he had thereafter been handed over to his family after completing the formalities.
