Uttarakhand ranked first in country in implementation of new laws

Uttarakhand has got first rank in the country in the national implementation of the Inter-operable Criminal Justice System ( ICJS ) 2.0. According to the latest CCTNS/ICJS progress dashboard of the National Crime Records Bureau ( NCRB).
Uttarakhand has topped the national rankings with a score of 93.46. Uttarakhand is followed by Haryana at the second position with a score of 93.41, Assam at the third position with a score of 93.16, Sikkim at the fourth position with a score of 91.82 and Madhya Pradesh at the fifth position with a score of 90.55.
Pertinently chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took personal interest in the implementation of new laws BNS, BNSS and BSA.
The officials inform that Uttarakhand’s achievement is based on the ICJS 2.0’s ‘One Data, One Entry’ system. This system ensures seamless data flow between the police ( CCTNS ), e-courts, e-jails, e-prosecution, and e-forensics . Once entered, the data is immediately available to all relevant departments, reducing paperwork and expediting case resolution. To ensure transparency, crime scene videography and secure storage of digital evidence through the “e-Evidence” App have been made mandatory.
The spokesperson of Uttarakhand police and inspector general (Crime and Law and Order), Sunil Kumar Meena said that the State has set records in implementing technological infrastructure as well as real-time data entry. He added that with coordination and commitment, Uttarakhand has emerged as a model of “smart policing” for the country.
