Rishabh Rawat, a student of School of Management and Commerce Studies, Shri Guru Ram Rai University was accorded a warm welcome in the university on Tuesday. He brought laurels to the university by winning first position in 800 meters event in the recent national winter games held at Gulmarg Jammu and Kashmir recently.
Rawat went to the Shri Darbar Sahib on the day to take the blessings of Mahant Devendra Das. He was felicitated here with a cash reward of Rs 25000 by Mahant Das.
After visiting Darbar Sahib, Rawat went to the university where the Vice Chancellor Uday Singh Rawat, Registrar Ajay Khanduri, faculty members and students gave a rousing welcome to him.
Speaking on the occasion the Dean, School of Management and Commerce Studies Vipul Jain said that Rishabh has always been bright in studies as well as sports. He said that Rishabh Rawat has brought fame and pride to Shri Guru Ram Rai University as well as Uttarakhand State by his outstanding performance at National Winter Games.
