Authorities warn of heavy rain yet again, in four districts this time

Some parts of the State witnessed light to moderate rain on Saturday. The State meteorological centre has yet again issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall/thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Nainital districts on Sunday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in remaining mountainous districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the mountainous districts and at a few places in plains of Uttarakhand today.
The provisional State capital is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. One to two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the monsoon has not brought relief from the heat in the State as the maximum temperature in Dehradun has stayed above normal- three degrees Celsius above normal on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 32.9 degrees Celsius and 25.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.6 degrees Celsius and 26.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.6 degrees Celsius and 15.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24.7 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
