Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with devotion in Patanjali Yogpeeth in the presence of Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna on Thursday. The two greeted each other with garlands on the occasion.
In his address, Swami Ramdev said that Guru Purnima is the festival to celebrate the guru-shishya tradition and rishi tradition as embedded in the Sanatan Dharma. He also exhorted all to work towards making Sanatan Dharma the religion of the era.
Acharya Balkrishna said that this day signifies having total and unshakable faith of the disciple in the guru and his guidance and treading steadfastly the path shown by the Guru.
Speaking on this occasion, the executive chairman of Board of Education of India, N P Singh spoke volumes of Sanatan Dharma and its guru-disciple tradition.
