Dehradun district administration has registered an FIR against two persons- Sikander Singh and Kharati Lal Kunkat- for illegal sale and purchase of court-restricted land through forged documents. Informing about this, Dehradun district magistrate, Savin Bansal
said that violation of court orders and land deals based on fake documents are both serious offences.
According to the officials familiar with details, the land- located in Mauja Amwala Tarla- includes Khasra numbers 94Kha, 134, 135 and 136. The court had already put a ban on the sale and purchase of this land. Despite the restriction, the accused had allegedly prepared fake documents and completed the registry. A complaint had been filed regarding sale deed numbers 8614/2025 and 8615/2025.
Preliminary inquiry found that the sellers had concealed important facts about the land from the buyers and gone ahead with the deal.
Bansal has ordered a fresh review of the documents. Officials have also been told to cancel any mutation orders issued on the basis of these sale deeds. It is further learnt that the role of the sub-registrar office, Dehradun, is under scrutiny and administrative action may be taken if any malpractice is found.
