Uttarakhand police have been awarded the ‘President’s Police Colour,’ which the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called a historic and proud moment for the State. He said this honour is not just an award but a symbol of dedication, bravery and service of the police force.
The CM further said that with this honour, Uttarakhand Police have joined a select group of police forces in the country that have received this top national recognition. He congratulated all police officers and personnel for their hard work and commitment. He also thanked the President, Prime Minister and Home Minister for their support and guidance.
Dhami said that the award is given after a detailed review of the police force’s work, including law and order, crime control, disaster management and public safety. He added that Uttarakhand police have performed well in difficult conditions and have gained public trust through smart policing and use of modern technology.
The director general of police, (DGP), Uttarakhand, Deepam Seth said that this achievement is the result of hard work and sacrifice of all police personnel and their families. He added that the honour would inspire Uttarakhand police to perform even better in the future.
