PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The workers of Youth Congress held a vehement protest on the demand of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe monitored by sitting judge of Supreme Court in the Ankita Bhandari murder case on Friday. The workers burned the effigy of the State BJP government at Astley Hall on the day.

Addressing the workers, the vice president of Youth Congress Swati Negi said that the wife of a former BJP MLA has disclosed the name of the VIP involved in the Ankita Bhandari murder case and the former district Panchayat member of BJP Arti Gaur has claimed that the Vanantra resort was demolished on the directive of Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht.

She said that despite such important revelations, the BJP government is not ordering a CBI probe in the sensational case which shows that the government is trying to protect the culprits.  Negi said that the BJP leadership and government should make their stand clear as to whom they are standing with, Ankita Bhandari or her murderers. She also demanded that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami should take moral responsibility and tender his resignation.
