Venkateshwara School of Agriculture participates in Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2026

The School of Agriculture at Venkateshwara University participated in the National Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2026 and told the farmers the tricks of advanced farming on the topic “Developed Agriculture Self-reliant India”, said the pro-chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi. Notably, the three-day National Agricultural Science Fair-organised by the Indian Institute of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Pusa, New Delhi- was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chauhan in the presence of thousands of agricultural scientists, progressive farmers, agricultural researchers, progressive women farmers and vice- chancellors of government and private universities/institutions from across the country.
The founder chairman, Venkateshwara Group, Sudhir Giri said that present
India is not only self-sufficient in food grains, but is also rapidly moving towards developed India by exporting food grains to more than two dozen countries of the world facing food crisis.
Tyagi said that the School of Agriculture at Venkateshwara University has been preparing farmers of north India, especially those from western Uttar Pradesh, for maximum production at low cost through grafting techniques and drone farming among others.
On this occasion, the School of Agriculture of Venkateshwara University felicitated some agricultural scientists for promoting advanced farming and organic farming in a scientific manner.
