In latest news from Doon, the district magistrate Savin Bansal looked annoyed during an unannounced inspection of the garbage pickup vehicles when he found that most of them were not on the roads. He even inspected the garage and found that the vehicles had not moved out on their assigned work. He deployed several officers across the city for verification of such vehicles’ movements and warned stern action against the errant companies entrusted with the door-to-door garbage collection task. Also, he directed the officers concerned to have the damaged buses repaired immediately.
Among the places he visited in the city during the inspection included Ghantaghar, Survey Chowk, Mata Mandir Road, Bhagat Singh Colony and Kargi Chowk.
